Frye ‘Carson’ Western Boots

Frye Western Boots

I’m always delighted when I discover new footwear that updates an old style and does it well.  The Frye ‘Carson Pull On’ boots are a perfect example of this.  Fry has taken elements of cowboy boots and re-worked them into a fresh, popular Frye western boot for fashion minded women.

By using the turned up toe or bumped oblique toe look they’ve taken the first step to giving this a contemporary design.  The 1 1/4 inch cowboy heel has a slight pitch and a rubber overlay to retain the cowboy look.  The tall boot shaft (13 inches) has the traditional western top cut and finished off with pull up straps.  The comfort is further enhanced by the soft almost slouch like leather which feels like lambskin (it’s not).

The toe box is narrow, so be warned if you need a wider toe area.  The Frye ‘Carson boots have succeeded with a quality, comfortable boot that looks outstanding.  All you need now is a Stetson hat.
